H0 scale bridge style IronHorse, for model trains and dioramas.
Set the length of the bridge
The 200mm modules and the length of the bridge
The bridge is made up of modules of 200mm length, which can be joined together to create bridges of longer lengths. In this way, the bridges can be 20cm, 40cm, 60cm...
To join the modules together, there are pieces that allow the union of two modules, making a 40cm section, without having to place a pillar underneath as support. In any case, if you want pillars in each 20cm section, you can do that too.
If you want a specific length, customized to a few specific centimeters, you can design a piece with the specified size so that the bridge is the desired length.
Set the height of the bridge
We specify the height of the track
To choose the height of the bridge, we must first know the height where the track goes. The height of the plane where the Märklin C-type track or similar is.
From this height, we calculate the heights of the bridge pillars. In each pillar we have a stone part, which is fixed, and a part where the structure is made of iron beams, which varies according to the increment we have.
We have a range of heights designed for this bridge that go from 100mm of track plan height, to 140mm, increasing by 5mm between these measurements.
For other unspecified heights, it can be designed to suit the client, you just have to do a feasibility study and a budget.
Pre-defined heights for this type of bridge, IronHorse:
100 mm.
105 mm.
110 mm.
115 mm.
120 mm.
125 mm.
130 mm.
140 mm.
The same criteria are followed for the central pillars, and it is recommended to place a central pillar for every 40 cm of bridge length, otherwise we cannot guarantee the structural viability of the bridge.
